Legal Aid doesn’t charge for legal services. (You may be asked to pay other costs associated with your case such as filing fees, deposition fees, transcript fees, or other court costs.)
We will never ask you to pay over the phone or online, and we will never request your bank account details or other sensitive banking information. If anyone claiming to be from Legal Aid asks for payment or personal banking information, it is a scam. Please contact us directly if you have any doubts or concerns.
