What is the Justice for All Campaign?
The Justice for All Campaign was created as a major fund-raising effort in support of
LAWMOs ongoing mission to provide quality legal services to those in need. The
current campaign runs from August 2007 through July 2010. Three-year pledge commitments
are encouraged.

Why should you support Legal Aid?
|

|
|
Legal Aid of Western Missouri gives low-income people a fair chance in
our justice system. LAWMOs average cost to handle a case is just $465. No matter
what size your gift, it will make a real difference in the lives of our clients. Here are
just a few examples of what your gift could make possible:
$10,000 will enable 22 women and their children to escape an abusive partner
$5,000 will prevent 11 families from being homeless
$1,000 will protect 2 senior citizens from predatory lenders
$500 will allow a disabled man to receive public benefits |

 "Legal
Aid kept my family from being homeless."
Because Legal Aid of Western Missouri exposed the predatory lending practices of an
unscrupulous broker, Annie and her family have a place to call home.
Legal Aid of Western Missouri (LAWMO) is a nonprofit organization that provides quality
free civil legal services to low-income persons so that they may have the necessities of
food, clothing, shelter, health care and safety.
LAWMO serves a 40-county area where more than 240,000 individuals live below the
poverty level and cannot afford legal assistance when they are faced with homelessness,
abuse, hunger or sickness. Legal Aid handles more than 5,000 cases per year for these
clients.
LAWMOs staff of dedicated attorneys and paralegals positively impact the lives of
over 20,000 individuals each year through the following programs and services:
Family Law
Domestic Violence
Housing
Public Benefits
Income Maintenance
Employment Law
Consumer Law
Education
Immigration
These and other special projects mean more access to legal assistance to the elderly,
victims of violence, disabled persons, persons with HIV/AIDS, immigrants, migrant
farmworkers and many more.
